Seminar: Introduction to the 4Sight Model of Behavior

WHAT IT IS
The 4Sight Model is a new way of looking at how people think and what drives their behavior.

WHY IT’S HELPFUL
Resiliency is your ability to handle and overcome adversity of any sort. 4Sight increases your resiliency.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
This base seminar introduces the knowledge, vocabulary and tools - the 4Sight Process - needed to effect a positive change in your life.

WHY IT’S IMPORTANT
Whether you want to improve yourself, a relationship or an organization, it all starts with individual behavior.

Recommended prerequisites:
None

Goal: obtain the basic information needed to make use of all other 4Sight programs.

Covers:
The 4Sight Model explains how we think and what drives our behavior. It requires a constant and long-term change in your perception in order to effect improvement in your life. To help you obtain the motivation, level of commitment and insights needed to make that possible, we explain the science and psychology that lead to the Model as well as introduce the core concepts that tie everything together. The main topics discussed are:

Origin
Discusses the critical development period during which time our brain's neocortex grows by leaps and bounds. Introduces key concepts like attachment and how it sets the foundation for all perception made later on in life via triggers.

Tenets
Straightforward and simple, the tenets are key to making change in your life. Without these prerequisities you will diminish if not prohibit behavioral improvement.

Model
The core of 4Sight, explaining that our behavior consists of looking at the past (SE) to plan for the future (SC). It also introduces the fact that inaccuracies in those processes will lead to conflict in our life. Typical maladaptive strategies driven by cognitive distortions are identified to help you consider that your SE or SC may be skewed.

Process
The 4-step program you can use to change your thoughts and improve your behavior. You must desire to be accountable for all your behavior, analyze your (emotional) reactions, act to repair or change when needed, then record for proof. The final step is key as it will provide the evidence your brain needs to confirm that you can reduce conflict and change what you say and do.
