4Sight 4 Minute Story #1: The Inventor (for the scientist)

4Sight is a laser for human behavior. It's a tool that can literally solve hundreds of problems, the core of which answers the question "why do people behave the way that they do?". As long as you need to interact with people, 4Sight can be of benefit because it can explain everything. A pretty audacious comment, right? Let me tell you why I say that.

It began with looking at what the brain does. And I don't mean the autonomic elements. I mean the stuff that makes us humans and individuals. The part that makes us unique and gives us intelligence and personality. How does that happen?

When you look at the brain from a very abstract standpoint you can see that it does only two things. It looks at the past to figure out what to do in the future. If you think about it even the things that are occurring in the present - by the time we sense them and register them in our short term memory - are part of the past and part of what we look at when determining what, if anything, we should say and do next.

Right now, for example, you were somehow prompted into reading this. Something about the title and the way you received notice about it helped you determine if it was worth your investing four minutes of time. Still, probably every second while you're watching this, you're thinking "should I continue or should I do something else?" Let me assure you that it is worth finishing even if your phone is vibrating. I'm getting to the best part.

Everything comes together when you realize that we all don't look at the past or plan for the future the same way. We all have these filters, these algorithms, that influence those two processes. They impact how we store information, then how we recall that information and compare it. This is specifically what 4Sight refers to as your self-esteem and self-confidence. And the accuracy with which we employ those processes determines whether or not we experience conflict.

Now that last paragraph is a mouthful. It begins to give you a glimpse into what 4Sight is. Unfortunately, I’m going to need more time to explain the model in full detail. If you're not ready for a meeting, there are other stories to help you along.
